A post office called Walbridge has been in operation since 1871. The village was incorporated in 1912. == Geography == Walbridge is located at 41°35′18″N 83°29′22″W (41.588350, -83.489503).According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.21 square miles (5.72 km2), of which 2.19 square miles (5.67 km2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) is water. == Demographics == === 2010 census === At the 2010 census there were 3,019 people, 1,458 households, and 825 families living in the village. The population density was 1,378.5 inhabitants per square mile (532.2/km2). There were 1,635 housing units at an average density of 746.6 per square mile (288.3/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 95.9% White, 0.7% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.3% Asian, 1.1% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races.
