Do you offer moving insurance?
Yes, we do offer moving insurance.
When our crew arrives, we begin with a full walkthrough of your home before moving anything. During this time, we go over all paperwork with you, including coverage options.
All moves include standard valuation coverage at $0.60 per pound per item, which is industry standard. We will explain this in detail before the move begins.
If you’re interested in additional protection, we also offer Full Value Protection. You can call ahead of time to go over those options, or we can review everything with you on move day so you feel fully comfortable before we begin.
What items can you NOT move?
For safety and legal reasons, there are certain items we cannot transport.
Examples include:
- Propane tanks
- Gasoline or fuel
- Fireworks or explosives
- Chemicals or hazardous materials
- Paints and flammable liquids
Why we cannot move propane tanks:
- Flammability: Propane is a flammable gas, and transporting it in a moving truck poses a significant fire hazard.
- DOT Regulations: The Department of Transportation (DOT) regulates the transportation of propane cylinders, and moving companies may not have the proper licensing or equipment to transport them legally.
If you’re unsure about a specific item, feel free to call or text us ahead of your move.
What is your overall moving process?
- Step 1: Get a Quote
Call or request a quote online. For homes over ~2,000 sq. ft., we may recommend an on-site estimate for the most accurate pricing. - Step 2: Arrival & Walkthrough
On move day, our crew will arrive, walk through your home, and confirm all details before starting. - Step 3: Prep & Protection
We lay down floor runners to protect your home and use plastic wrap and padding to protect furniture. - Step 4: Loading
We typically start in the bedrooms and work our way through the home efficiently and carefully. - Step 5: Transport & Unload
We transport your items safely and place them where you want at the new location.
Our goal is to handle everything with care while keeping the move efficient.
How do you charge for moves?
We charge hourly, based on:
- The number of movers (crew size)
- The size and scope of the move
- Time required to complete the job
Crew size may vary depending on how big your move is to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Should you tip movers?
Tipping is not required, but it is always greatly appreciated.
If you feel your crew did an excellent job, a tip is a great way to show your appreciation—but it is completely up to you.
Do you take TVs off the wall?
Yes, we can safely remove TVs from the wall.
However, we do not remount TVs at the new location.
Do you assemble and disassemble beds?
We regularly disassemble and reassemble beds and other standard furniture as part of the moving process.
Do you work with Sleep Number beds?
Our movers are experienced with Sleep Number beds and have worked with dozens of them. We are comfortable handling the disassembly and setup process.
Do I need to remove items from dressers?
No, you can leave most items in your dresser drawers.
We just ask that you:
- Remove any fragile or breakable items
In some cases, movers may remove drawers if:
- The dresser is extremely heavy
- It needs to be carried up or down stairs
This is done at the mover’s discretion for safety.
